The outline area above each window has a white awning which has been pushed closed towards the walls. There are three men visible standing on the sidewalk in front of the storefronts which is made out of wooden planks. The man on the right is wearing a boater style hat and is standing by an electrical pole. This building also housed the Oriental Club and the Pekin Restaurant at 5 East Pender. There is text in the bottom right corner of the image that reads, "1843."
