Behind his head is a large red circle. The image has a caption below it that reads, “BRITAIN’S TRUE FRIEND—INDIA. / (From an original drawing by J. Abbey.)” The image is also signed, “J. Abbey.” Above the image is a line of text that reads, “No. 43. VOL.
