Two digital images of the inside front cover and the first three pages of Inder Singh`s passport. The inside cover page has two columns with black text printed on it, the left column reads, "We, Freeman, Viscount / Willingdon, G.C.S.I., / G.C.M.G., G.C.I.E., G.B.E., / Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief of / the Dominion of Canada, / Request, in the name of / His Britannic Majesty, all / those whom it may con- / cern to allow the bearer / [check mark] / to pass freely without let / or hindrance and to afford / him [handwritten in black ink] every assistance / and protection of which / he [handwritten in black ink] may stand in / need. / Given under our hand / and seal-at-arms at / Ottawa this Eighteenth [handwritten in black ink] / day of September 1928 [handwritten in black ink]."
The right column reads, "Nous, Freeman, Vicomte Viscount / Willingdon, G.C.S.I., / G.C.M.G., G.C.I.E., G.B.E., / Gouverneur general et / Commandant en chef du / Dominion du Canada, / Demandons, au nom de / Sa Majesté britannique, il / tous ceux que les présen- / tes peuvent concerner de / permettre au porteur / [check mark] / de passer librement et / sans entrave et du lui / accorder tout le secours / et toute la protection / don't / il [handwritten in black ink] pourrait / avoir besoin. / Donné sous Notre seing / et scellé de Nos armes à / Ottawa ce dix-huit… / jour de septembre 1928 [handwritten in black ink]." Below the colums is a coat of arms and handwritten text in black ink to the right that reads, "Willingdon."
Page one of the passport was handwritten text on it that reads, "Van[?] File 3507 H," at the top. Below this is printed text that reads, "This passport contains 32 pages. / Ce passeport contient 32 pages. / Passport / Passeport / CANADA / No. of passport / No du passeport / 52094 [in stamped red ink] / Name of bearer / Nom du porteur / Indar Singh, son of / Delip[?] Singh. / Accompanied by is wife / Accompagné de sa femme / [handwritten line] / and [handwritten line] children / et de enfants / NATIONAL STATUS / NATIONALITÉ / British Subject."

Page three of the passport has a bust studio portrait of Indar Singh attached horizontally to the page. Above the photograph is printed text that reads, "-3- / PHOTOGRAPH OF BEARER / PHOTOGRAPHIE DU PORTEUR." Below the portrait is a rectangular box with text above reads, "WIFE - FEMME." There is an imprint from a circular stamp on the right side of the portrait with text that reads, "DEPT OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS / CANADA." Underneath a portion of the stamped text is a strip of red paper that attached vertically to the page that is signed, "Indar - Singh," in black ink. To the left of the red strip is printed text that reads, "Signature of Bearer - Signature du Porteur."
