South Asian Canadian Digital Archive (SACDA)
Mayo School (1964) from the Joan Mayo Fonds, Cowichan Valley Museum & Archives
Mandate:
In partnership with Open School BC and the Royal BC Museum, develop an educational resource for K-12 educators and students focused on South Asian Canadian communities and culture in B.C.
Plan:
- Work with Open School BC (OSBC) and the Royal BC Museum (RBCM) to develop the resource to be made freely available for the educators and the students.
- Collaborate with the community, ministry of education and other government and education stakeholders for their contributions in developing the resource.
- Support and coordinate surveys, focus groups and consultations of key stakeholders in partnership with the OSBC and RBCM.
- Launch the ready-to-use educational resource by early 2022.
